Nana Huchy / Mini Bill the Duck Rattle

Mother duck quacked, "Quack, quack, quack, quack," but Bill the Duck could only rattle back. Charlie the Chicken suggested that Bill's noise came from munching on too many worms, but since worms are squishy, Bill isn't quite convinced. He enjoys the rattling sound and wishes to share it with a little friend who can shake, rattle, and roll along with him.

In contrast to squeakers, which tend to be short-lived and not very intuitive for babies to use on their own, the sound produced by a rattle when babies hold or move it encourages action-reaction learning. This provides instant gratification for babies and toddlers, helping them grasp the concept of cause and effect.
