Nana Huchy / Bubba Rooster Rattle

Bubba might be young, but he’s a lively little bird full of enthusiasm! All he dreams of is to crow at dawn like his impressive older cousin, Rupert the Rooster. Unfortunately, the only sound he can produce is a gentle rattle. Grandpa Roy reassures him that with some practice, he’ll be able to crow louder and better than any rooster around—Bubba just needs to be patient. Meanwhile, his dad, Randy the Rooster, is focused on being a good role model, ensuring Bubba isn’t overly influenced by the boastful Rupert.

In contrast to squeakers, which are often short-lived and tricky for babies to use independently, the sound produced by a rattle when babies hold or shake it encourages action-reaction learning. This provides instant gratification for babies and toddlers, helping them grasp the concept of cause and effect.
