Ergo Pouch Cocoon Swaddle Bags are designed to provide both simplicity and security. These zip-up swaddles are TOG rated to ensure that babies stay snug and safe without the hassle of complex wrapping from day one. With a 2.5 TOG rating, they can be used on their own in room temperatures between 17–21°C / 63–70°F, eliminating the need for additional blankets and making them a safe sleep option for newborns and infants. The chest area is 1.0 TOG rated to prevent overheating and allow for unrestricted chest expansion during breathing. Parents can easily layer underneath for added warmth, and our complimentary room thermometer and clothing guide included with the product can assist them in dressing their child appropriately. We suggest combining this with one of our TOG-rated Layers or Bodywear underneath (sold separately).

The Cocoon Swaddle bag is constructed with GOTS certified organic cotton and filled with the same material, featuring elastane in the outer fabric and bamboo in the lining. This ensures that it is firm enough to prevent startle reflex while still allowing for healthy movement and growth. The stretch provides additional comfort and allows babies to position their hands for self-settling within the swaddle. The soft, breathable organic cotton and bamboo are certified non-toxic, dyed with water-based dyes, and gentle on newborn skin, making it suitable for skin prone to eczema breakouts. The zip enclosure protects delicate skin, and the convenient arm poppers allow for an easy transition from an arms-in swaddle to an arms-out sleeping bag once the baby shows signs of rolling. The bell-shaped design is endorsed by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as being hip-healthy, promoting proper joint development in the hips and shoulders. Lastly, the two-way zipper facilitates quick and easy nappy changes during sleep with minimal disruptions.
